Couple charged with giving kids marijuana
SPRING HILL -- A husband and wife previously charged with having sex with a teenager now stand accused of giving marijuana to other youngsters.
Donald Paul Eisenhart, 34, and Brenda K. Eisenhart, 35, of 4144 Thunderbird Drive in Spring Hill each face an additional four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The couple gave marijuana to one teenager for his birthday, a sheriff's report says, and invited three others to smoke marijuana with them. Also, investigators have charged Mrs. Eisenhart's brother, Joshua Jay Blake, 23, with one count of lewd and lascivious battery, charging he molested a 12-year-old girl while he was living with his sister.
All three remained in the Hernando County Jail on Thursday.
Man accused of threat to kill teen, his family
SPRING HILL -- Authorities have arrested a man they say threatened to a kill a 13-year-old boy and his family if the boy did not give him $600 the boy had earned working at a summer job.
Edward Thomas Walsh II, 21, of 1207 Gatewood Ave. in Spring Hill faces one count of extortion.
Walsh told the boy, Matthew Eberts of Spring Hill, that he wanted $600 so he could use it to buy drugs and then sell them for a profit, a sheriff's report said. When Eberts refused, authorities say, Walsh said he would have a carload of men shoot up his house, killing him and his family. So the boy gave in.
Police learned of the incident when a deputy saw a group of angry people walking toward Walsh's home Sunday. They said they were angry with Walsh for taking the Eberts' money and wanted to confront Walsh.
Authorities arrested Walsh on Wednesday. He was taken to the Hernando County Jail, where he remained Thursday in lieu of $5,000 bail.
