Kennedy has been consistently impressive since being promoted on June 1, allowing three runs or fewer in six of seven starts. His 3.98 ERA is second among AL rookies and, at 3-2, the 22-year-old lefty is the only Rays starter with a winning record
The 25-year-old righthander established himself as the Expos ace last season, but has struggled this season, going 7-9 with a 4.93 ERA. He has been worse at home, posting a 3-5 record and 5.34 ERA. The Expos are 9-10 in his starts.
This is first trip to Olympic Stadium for many of the Rays, and it can be a confusing place. Steve Cox went around in circles for several minutes trying to find the right door that led to the weight room. "I feel like Alice in Wonderland," Cox said.
