Weekend event -- Tonight

AUTO RACING: The Citrus County Speedway program will consist of double features in the Late Model, Sportsman, Street Stock, Mini Stock, Hobby Stock and Street-Legal Junker classes, plus a make-up of the Bobby Clark RV Late Model 30-lap feature and the M. Dominique Moble Home 40-lap feature for Sportsman. The quarter-mile track is 2 miles south of Inverness off U.S. 41 at the fairgrounds. Gates open at 4 p.m., and the first heat race is at 6:30.

Clubs

THE PASCO CHAPTER OF THE COASTAL CONSERVATION ASSOCIATION meets at 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Red Cross building at Ridge Road and Congress Avenue in Port Richey. Meetings are free and open to everyone. For information, call (727) 861-1500

THE HERNANDO AREA BOAT CLUB, organized to promote safe boating, meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month at the Aripeka Community Center on Osawa Boulevard (S.R. 595). For information, call (352) 666-1725.

THE CITRUS ROAD RUNNERS CLUB is accepting new members. For information, call John Bianco, (352) 527-2760.

THE HERNANDO SPORTSMAN'S CLUB, a family oriented shooting club, meets the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the range west of U.S. 19, 9.5 miles north of State Road 50. The range is open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. For information, call (904) 597-9931.
