LIVING HISTORY: Bring blankets and chairs and witness Union and Confederate troops as they take to the battlefield for a day of Civil War re-enacting from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Eighteenth Annual Heritage Village Skirmish, 11909 125th St. N, Largo. See the USS Ottawa and the 79th New York Highlanders re-enacting groups perform artillery demonstrations and infantry drills on the hour, beginning at 10 a.m., and lecture presentations on the Hillsborough River raid at 10 a.m. and noon. A Sutler's Row, featuring reproductions of period items for sale, will be set up near the Lowe Barn, with refreshments available for purchase (or bring a picnic). Also, an Officers Call is planned for 11:30 a.m., a court martial at noon, a grand review and formation and arms inspection at 1 p.m. The battle is scheduled for 2 p.m. Historical buildings are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free. SUMMER CONCERT SERIES: The Museum of Fine Arts, 255 Beach Drive NE in St. Petersburg, welcomes back Gary Schocker on flute and Jason Vieaux on guitar for two performances at 7 p.m. Also 2 p.m. Sunday. Both days will include works by Merlin, Villa-Lobos, Bach and an original composition by Schocker. $15, $7 for students 22 and younger. Seating is limited, reservations required. Call 896-2667. IN THE GARDEN: A workshop with landscape arborist and horticulture consultant Jack Siebenthaler is planned for 10 a.m. at the Florida Botanical Garden in the Pinellas County Extension Service, 12175 125th St. N, Largo. Learn about the history of flowering trees in Florida. Free. "Celebrating Seeds," a workshop for kids, is also presented at 10 a.m. Master gardener Bob Abben helps collect and compare plant seeds and sends participants home with seeds planted in pots. Free.
