    Promotions

    John C. Shewbuirt, a 2000 graduate of Countryside High School, was promoted to the rank of U.S. Navy petty officer 3rd class. Shewbuirt is stationed in Sigonella, Italy, where he is attached to the Mobile Mine Assembly division. He is the son of Jim and Diane Shewbuirt of Safety Harbor.

    Raymond D. Purcell, a 1992 graduate of Clearwater Central Catholic High School, has been promoted to staff sergeant. He is stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany. He is the son of Ray and Carol Purcell of Tarpon Springs.

    Completion of training

    Pvt. George R. Gallandre-Lebhar, a 2000 graduate of Gibbs Pinellas County Center for the Arts, completed basic training at Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot in South Carolina and combat training at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. He is stationed in Pensacola for aircraft mechanic training. He is the son of Faye and Georges Gallandre-Lebhar of Clearwater.
