Super Bowl artist kicks off fundraiser
Nuance Galleries and Charles Fazzino, the official artist of Super Bowl XXXV, are teaming up for a fundraiser to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The show will feature Fazzino's original paintings, drawings, 3-D serigraphs and sculptures. The artist will be at a fundraising luncheon, with food donated by Ruth's Chris Steak House, at Nuance Galleries at noon Saturday. Above is Fazzino's work Broadway and Beyond. Fazzino will be available at the gallery that evening from 7 to 9 to discuss and sign his work. The show runs until Sept. 1, with 20 percent of Fazzino's art sales donated to MDA. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Nuance Galleries is at 720 S Dale Mabry, Tampa. For more information, call (813) 875-0511.
