    RECITAL: Cellist Julie Newport and pianist Talia Dillahey will perform during a recital at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St. (inside City Hall). Admission is $10, $8 for center members and students. Call (727) 942-5605.

    BE-BOP: Relive the days of poodle skirts by attending a performance by the Sh-Booms who will sing hits from the 1950s and 1960s at 2 and 8 p.m. today at the Royalty Theatre, 405 Cleveland St., Clearwater.     SKIRMISH: Experience a living history event as Union and Confederate troops take to the field and re-enact Civil War battles at an event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Village, 11909 125th St., N, Largo. The day will include artillery demonstrations, infantry drills, an officer's call, a grand march and a court martial. The battle will be at 2 p.m. Call (727) 582-2123.

    ART EXHIBIT: The Gulf Coast Museum of Art is presenting its second annual student art exhibit, "Pinellas County High School Survey" through Aug. 6 at the museum, 12211 Walsingham Road, Largo. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors over age 62 and students with ID. Children 12 and under and museum members are free. On Thursdays, everyone is admitted free. Call (727) 518-6833.
