CLEARWATER -- The city of Clearwater and the Southwest Florida Water Management District have launched a new Web site on the Stevenson Creek Watershed Management Plan. It is accessible on the World Wide Web at http://www.clearwater-fl.com/engineer/projects/stevenson.

The Stevenson Creek basin encompasses about 6,000 areas in central Pinellas County, approximately 4,765 acres of which lie within the city limits of Clearwater. Stevenson Creek has been targeted for restoration and enhancement to benefit residents within the North Greenwood neighborhood and downtown.

The Web site will include a complete schedule of tasks, including start and finish dates. Also, users will be able to submit comments and questions regarding the watershed plan. For additional information about the Web site, call 562-4661.
