Couple open new Athlete's Foot store

The Athlete's Foot has opened at 3301 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. The franchise is owned by Tim and Nicole Johnson. Before opening the store, Tim Johnson was an assistant manager for the Wal-Mart in Pinellas Park. Nicole Johnson is a teacher at Azalea Middle School in St. Petersburg. This makes the second location for Athlete's Foot in St. Petersburg. The other location is a corporate-owned store in Tyrone Square Mall.

Bealls Outlet opens at Tyrone Gardens

Bealls Outlet has opened at Tyrone Gardens Shopping Center, 900 58th St. N, St. Petersburg. This is the fourth Bealls location in the St. Petersburg area.

Center for massage has a new co-owner

Rita Beach has become co-owner of the Center for Massage Therapy, 7230 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. Beach, a licensed massage therapist, owned Beach Therapeutic Massage on Treasure Island before becoming co-owner of the center. Linda Barchie opened the business in November of 1999.

Executive promoted at Rubin Management

Donna Lance has been promoted to executive vice president and general manager for Rubin Management on Roosevelt Boulevard. Before the promotion, Lance served as general manager for RMI. A native of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Lance has lived in the St. Petersburg-Clearwater area for 15 years. RMI leases and manages commercial property throughout Florida.

New activity director at Vineyard Inn

Shannon Harris has been named activity director for Vineyard Inn Assisted Living Facility in Seminole. Before the appointment, Harris served as assistant activity director at Oak Manor Nursing Center in Largo.

St. Petersburg Rotary selects a president

Gordon A. Norton has been named president for the Rotary Club of St. Petersburg. A member of the Downtown Rotary since 1968, Norton also serves as the president of the Florida Dental Association Services.

Women's group to meet Aug. 2 at Soho Gallery

The Mid-Day Business and Professional Women's Club of St. Petersburg will hold a meeting at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 2 at Soho Gallery, 2105 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. The program will include Wendy Warman, president of SmarTalkers and co-author of the book, Loud and Clear: How to Prepare and Deliver Effective Business and Technical Presentations.
