MTV picks its "Weapon'
Fatboy Slim received nine MTV Video Music Award nominations Monday for Weapon of Choice, including best video and best director (Spike Jonze).
Also up for video of the year: Lady Marmalade (Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya and Pink), Get Ur Freak On (Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott), Stan (Eminem), All for You (Janet Jackson) and Beautiful Day (U2).
The awards will be presented Sept. 6 in New York.
Katharine Hepburn's expected discharge from a Hartford, Conn., hospital was postponed indefinitely to give doctors more time to monitor her ability to walk.
The 94-year-old actor was admitted Wednesday for treatment of a urinary infection. Doctors said the infection had "cleared up nicely" but Hepburn's ability to walk had suffered after more than four days in a hospital bed, hospital spokesman James Battaglio said.
No new release date has been set.
Ex-Beatle George Harrison and his wife, Olivia, issued a statement saying they are "disappointed and disgusted" by a story in Britain's The Mail on Sunday that Harrison told friend and former Beatles producer George Martin "that he does not have long to live." "Mr. Harrison is active and feeling very well," the statement said. Harrison has a cancerous brain tumor ... Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston denied a German magazine's report that they are expecting a baby. The writer of the story, Elisa Leonelli, said her story was mistranslated.
The Odetta review scheduled to run today will run on Wednesday's 2B.
