With outdoor cooking season in high gear, there is no lack of advice from professionals and gadgets from manufacturers to help you turn out great grilled foods. Here is a list of organizations offering tips and products.

A 52-page booklet, Grilling Through the Seasons, includes recipes, grilling tips and an internal temperature guide for meat, poultry, fish and vegetables, and is yours for the asking. ARMCHAIR BARBECUE CHEF: Now you can grill from the comfort of your couch with the remote Wireless Grill Thermometer from Frontgate. This gadget lets you check the temperature of meat on the grill from up to 75 feet away. A metal probe measures temperature inside the meat and sends the data to a hand-held receiver. Like your steak medium-rare? The thermometer can sound an alarm at the desired level of doneness.

BARBECUE OUTFITTERS: ChefShop.com, a specialty food Internet business, has an array of barbecue tools, sauces, rubs and marinades that can make a barbecue novice look like an expert. To prevent singed fingers, try the flame-resistant barbecue gloves, or order wood chips for adding smoky flavors to meats. If all else fails, order a no-fuss meal-to-go kit. Products come with simple directions and recipes.
