GODSPELL AT PLAYHOUSE: The young actors who participated in the Summer Theatre Workshop at Playhouse 19 present Godspell this weekend. Show dates are today, Saturday and Sunday. Performances are at 7 p.m. today and Saturday; Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students. Call 563-1333.

COURTHOUSE MUSEUM: Yesterday's Tomorrows, a traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution, will be at the historic Citrus County Courthouse Museum in Inverness through Aug. 11. Museum and store are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Call 341-6436.

APPLETON ART: "Masters of the 20th Century," a photography exhibit, continues at the Appleton Museum of Art, Ocala. The exhibit from the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota has about 150 images described as the cream of the crop from the Ringling's photography selection, which the Appleton director ranks as the finest in the southeast United States. The Appleton museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Docent-led tours are offered at 1:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for students older than 18. Children and teens younger than 18 admitted free. The photography exhibit runs through Aug. 26. Call (352) 236-7100.

BARBERSHOPPERS: The Chorus of the Highlands, the Citrus County Chapter of the national barbershop singing association, rehearses at 6:30 p.m. Mondays at First Christian Church on Old Floral City Road, just south of Mossy Oaks Boulevard, Inverness. Call Ed Haefele at 564-2838.

LOOK AHEAD

CRAFT COUNCIL SHOW: The Citrus County Crafts Council will hold its annual Harvest Moon Craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 1 at the National Guard Armory in Crystal River. The show features about 60 crafters displaying their works and a bake sale and refreshments. Free parking and admission. The event is a fundraiser for Hospice of Citrus County. Call 621-3608.

ART LEAGUE DISPLAY: The works of painters James Langston and Anna Sandoval will be displayed at the Citrus County Art League during August. The exhibit is a preview of the works they will display at the Florence Biennale in Italy in December. The exhibit opens Aug. 4 and remains until the end of the month. A reception with the artists will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 18 at the art league, 2644 N Annapolis Ave.

APPLETON EXHIBIT: "Once in our Lifetime," an exhibit of 19th century art, will open Sept. 8 and runs through Dec. 6 at Appleton Museum of Art, 4337 E Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. Major works from Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Paul Cezanne, Vincent van Gogh and others will be featured. Museum hours are daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Docent-led tours are at 1:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2 for students 18 and older; students younger than 18 free. A similar exhibit of 20th century masters, featuring two works by Pablo Picasso, is scheduled for February through April.

QUICK TRIP

TAKIN' TURNS: Stage West Community Playhouse will present Takin' My Turn, a concert-style spoof on aging featuring Ray Hill and Marsha Reiniera from Aug. 10-12 at the theater, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. The event is a joint fundraiser with Citrus County's Playhouse 19. Show times are 8 p.m. Aug 10 and 11, 2 p.m. Aug. 12. Tickets are $12.
