WHAT A RELEASE: There will be a CD release party for Turn It Up, the new release by DJ Sharaz, at 10 p.m. Saturday at The Warehouse at Suncoast Entertainment Center, 10451 County Line Road, Spring Hill. LOOK AHEAD

WAR REMEMBERED: The Dade Battlefield Historic State Park will have its fourth annual World War II Commemorative Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 4 at the park off County Road 476 in Bushnell. The event marks the 56th anniversary of the end of WWII and features re-enactor encampments, military vehicles, equipment, uniforms and weapons. Admission is $2 per vehicle. TAKE AIM: An introductory archery workshop is from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 1 at the Chinsegut Nature Center, north of Brooksville. TAKIN' TURNS: Stage West Community Playhouse will present Takin' My Turn, a concert-style spoof on aging featuring Ray Hill and Marsha Reiniera, Aug. 10-12 at Stage West, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. This is a joint fundraiser with Citrus County's Playhouse 19. Show times are 8 p.m. Aug 10 and 11 and 2 p.m. Aug. 12. Tickets are $12. CLASSICAL ELEGANCE: The Hernando County Fine Arts Council will host Classical Elegance at Twilight at 6 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Wellington at Seven Hills in Spring Hill. The Hernando County Fine Arts Council will hold auditions for the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta The Mikado at 7 p.m. Aug. 24 and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at Springstead High School Theater, 3300 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill.
