Football

Physicals and participation fees for the Ridgewood team will be collected at the Aug. 3 weightlifting session and equipment will be issued to varsity players.

The times are from 7 to 9 a.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.

The first day of practice will be Aug. 6. Players are to report to the football locker room at 7 a.m.

A meeting for all middle and high school players at River Ridge will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

Parents are encouraged to attend.

Basketball

A youth camp will be held Monday through Saturday for boys and girls ages 8 to 15 at the Holiday Recreation Center, located at 2730 Strauber Memorial Highway.

The camp costs $65 and is run by Pasco-Hernando Community College coach Bobby Bowman.

Swimming

Stroke and diving clinics are scheduled for July 30-Aug. 3 at the New Port Richey pool.

The stroke clinic is 7 to 8:30 a.m. with diving at 9 to 10 a.m. The cost is $5 per day or $20 for the week. For information, call (727) 841-4567.

Practices and tryouts for River Ridge swimmers begin Wednesday at the Veterans Memorial Park pool in Hudson.

Practices will be held daily at 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. For details, call coach Athena Graham at (727) 372-8342.
