A closer look: One Hillsborough church

LEADERSHIP: Ferrell and Lynne Lister are co-pastors of the church. Ferrell earned his bachelor's degree in vocal music and a master's degree in music and piano at the University of South Florida. Lynne attended Trinity Bible College in Clearwater. They have been married 24 years and have four children: Robert, 28, Lizabeth, 23, and Jessica and Jennifer, both 21. They also have five grandchildren.

SERVICES: Sunday worship service at 10 a.m. and youth service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night Bible study and prayer at 7 p.m.

HISTORY: The church was founded by the Listers more than eight years ago. It started as a Bible study in a home for a year, then they met at Ramada Inns for two years. They moved to their present location more than a couple of years ago. The church was a mission outreach of Calvary Temple in Temple Terrace.

RECENT SERMON TOPIC OR THEME: "The me I see is the me I'll be." Ferrell said that people need to see who they are as far as the righteousness of Christ.

MEMBERSHIP: 150

NOTABLES: The church has a preschool that offers scholarships to struggling single mothers or others who are not very well off. The K3 through sixth grade preschool began in 1996 and now has about 100 members.
