NEW PORT RICHEY -- Richard A. Way, a 25-year-old arsonist who was convicted earlier this month of setting three fires, was sentenced Friday to 15 years in state prison.
Way, of New Port Richey, was convicted of setting fires on Feb. 18, 1999, at a 40-foot trailer at the Salvation Army in Holiday, as well as at a trash bin and empty travel camper nearby. Way has prior convictions of burglary and grand theft. In imposing the sentence, Circuit Judge Craig C. Villanti called him a menace to society and a danger to himself.
