Parents charged after girl swallows CaladrylBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published July 31, 2000 HUDSON -- The parents of a 2-year-old girl were arrested Saturday after their daughter swallowed a 16-ounce bottle of Caladryl, according to police. Kenneth Lee Moesta and Lizabeth Moesta of 14530 Stingray Court, Hudson, were each charged with one count of child neglect. According to police, the Moestas locked their daughter in her bedroom, where she remained for about four hours Saturday. While in her room, the girl swallowed the poison and was later rushed to Bayonet Point Hospital, where her stomach was pumped. Sheriff's officials said the girl and another child in the house were placed in foster care. © St. Petersburg Times. All rights reserved. |
