JUNIOR GOLF: Citrus County Parks and Recreation and the Plantation Inn are offering a clinic starting Aug. 6.

The clinic, which will last four weeks, is scheduled for 5:30-7 p.m. daily. The cost is $25 per participant. The topics are: Basics of the swing; progression from 1/2, 3/4 to full swing; chipping, putting and sand shots; club types and usage; and knowledge of rules and etiquette.

Adult golf

Citrus County Parks and Recreation and the Plantation Inn are offing clinics for intermediate and beginning players.

The beginners clinic starts Aug. 7. The intermediate clinic starts Aug. 9. Both will run from 9-11 a.m. and for four weeks.

The cost is $35 per participant.

The topics are: Basics of the swing (grip, stance and alignment); progression from 1/2, 3/4 to full swing; chipping, putting and sand shots; club types and usage; and knowledge of rules and etiquette.
