FOOTBALL: A meeting for parents of all Zephyrhills varsity and junior varsity players will be held today at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

Physicals, participation forms and a $50 participation fee ($35 for players who came out in the spring) will be collected. All forms are available in the school's front office or weight room.

Pasco High practice for varsity and junior varsity players starts at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 6.

All players are to meet at W.F. Edwards Stadium and must bring a completed physical, $50 participation fee, football shoes, shorts and a T-shirt.

Centennial Middle School will hold tryouts Aug. 9 and 10 from 9 a.m. to noon at the school.

Those interested in participating must bring proof of physical, a signed parent permission form, a copy of their birth certificate and a $15 tryout fee. Forms are available at the school. For information, contact football coach John McDougall at (813) 794-9700.

VOLLEYBALL: Land O'Lakes tryouts for the upcoming season take place Aug. 6-8 in the school's gym.

Tryouts are from 2 to 4 p.m. on Aug. 6 and 8, and from 5 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 7. Players should bring copies of a physical, birth certificate and a $20 participation fee. For information, call coach Brian Kachurak at (727) 868-6101.

CROSS COUNTRY: Informal workouts at Land O'Lakes High are open to male and female athletes in grades nine through 12. The team conditions four times a week at various locations around Land O'Lakes.
