The new-look, with a bit of old-look, Orlando Magic will play a preseason NBA game Oct. 14 against Atlanta at the Ice Palace in Tampa.
The new center of attention for the Magic will be Patrick Ewing, the 38-year-old long-time Knicks player signed as a free agent after spending a season in Seattle. He is an 11-time All-Star pursuing his first championship.
Horace Grant, 36, has four of them, three with the Bulls and one last season with the Lakers. The 6-foot-10 forward-center returns to Orlando, which traded him in 1999.
The Hawks didn't fare well against Orlando last season. The lost two in the preseason and three of four during the regular season, former Florida Gators coach Lon Kruger's first as Atlanta's coach.
This is the second straight year for a Magic exhibition at the Ice Palace. Last year, Orlando beat the Pistons 101-94 before an announced 17,296.
Tickets for the 6 p.m. game range from $10-$55 ($6-$50 for groups of 20 or more, with special floor seating at $100 and $200).
