GOLF: Ty Harris, a 2001 Berkeley Prep graduate and two-time Times County Golfer of the Year, earned a spot in the 101st U.S. Amateur Championship by placing in the top three after Wednesday's qualifier was completed at Orange County National Golf Club near Orlando.

Harris finished with a 1-under, two-day total of 143, tying for the lead.

The U.S. Amateur will be held at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta on Aug. 20-26.
