HUDSON -- A model at Suncoast Lingerie was charged with prostitution Friday in connection with a 20-minute private performance she gave in June to an undercover Pasco County sheriff's deputy.

The arrest comes just a few months after Sheriff's Office higher-ups said they were having trouble enforcing a new adult business ordinance because they cannot expose themselves while working undercover.

The adult business ordinance passed in April bans customer-employee contact and establishes a three-strikes-you're-out policy for violations.

Another ordinance that also took effect this April banishes strip clubs, lingerie studios and adult bookstores to industrial areas.

Suncoast Lingerie sits at a neighborhood entrance on U.S. 19 at Sea Ranch Drive.

Although he never exposed himself, the undercover deputy charged Heather Marie Lane, 24, of 12431 Choctaw Trail, with prostitution. She never mentioned the lingerie she was wearing or asked him if he wanted to buy any lingerie, according to an arrest report.

The report never mentions Lane touching the deputy.

Lane took the deputy inside one of the lingerie modeling studio's private rooms, the report states. She repeatedly told the deputy, "The better the tips, the better the session."

She asked the deputy to take off his clothes, but he refused, according to the report. He kept tipping her and she kept taking off more of her clothes while she danced in front of him.

Wearing just her underwear and a bra, Lane fondled herself and simulated masturbation, the report states. She refused to take off the rest of her clothes because the deputy wouldn't expose himself.

Lane told the deputy she wanted him to expose himself to prove he wasn't a deputy, the report states. He refused.

After spending $100, the deputy left the studio, his report states. He later interviewed Lane and she told him she is a prostitute and several times while working at Suncoast she has had sex with male patrons.

When deputies attempted to arrest Lane Friday morning at a mobile home in Hudson, she locked herself in a bathroom, climbed out the window and threw gravel at deputies who chased her outside, deputies said. She was then charged with resisting arrest with violence.

Lane was scheduled to be released on her own recognizance Saturday from county jail in Land O'Lakes.
