In the spirit of CBS' Survivor series, the Times is asking Bucs players and coaches whom they would throw off the island, er, out of camp, and why. Here's today's episode:

S Dexter Jackson votes off WR Yo Murphy because "Yo is always walking around thinking he's tougher than everybody else."

Did you know

LB Shelton Quarles played two seasons (1995-96) with the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League. In 1995, Quarles led the Lions with 72 tackles and finished 14th overall in the CFL.

Fresh faces

NAME: Terrance Parrish.

HT/WT: 5-11; 190.

COLLEGE: Southern Mississippi.

POSITION: Cornerback.

NFL EXPERIENCE: Rookie.

CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Parrish had his greatest moment in the 1997 Liberty Bowl with a 65-yard interception return for a touchdown against Pittsburgh.

GLORY DAYS: At Theodore High School in Alabama, Parrish lettered in baseball and football. He played quarterback and running back and finished as Theodore's all-time leading rusher with more than 4,000 yards. "I noticed that as I neared breaking the record that people started looking up to me. I thought that was pretty cool."

BRUSH WITH GREATNESS: As a child, Parrish played sports at the neighborhood park named after Hank Aaron. One day "I just looked over and there he was, the great Hank Aaron, I had no clue what to say or how to react." Parrish and his teammates got a chance to meet Aaron after practice.

TO MAKE THE TEAM: Parrish knows three of four CB spots are filled, leaving him to challenge a host of others for the final spot. The Bucs should keep at least one on the practice squad.

QUOTE: "I think as a rookie it's pretty much much impossible to play mistake-free. If I make a mistake, I'll learn from it."

Quotable

"I think it was really good that we came back here to play Tampa, a place where we ended our season last year. It kind of leaves a sour taste in your mouth and kind of keeps you working."

-- Brad Johnson, Washington QB on Friday night's 13-12 loss to Tampa Bay.
