Thing to View

On NBC, David Spade (the abrasive one on Just Shoot Me), has come up with a new animated comedy series, Sammy, based on his "unusual relationship with his real-life father." And if that isn't odd enough, Spade will supply the voices of both father and son. 8:30 p.m.

If you caught the recent Winslow Homer exhibit at the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts, you'll want to see Winslow Homer: An American Original, part of the occasional Artists' Specials for family audiences on HBO. In this episode, the reclusive artist befriends two troubled teens -- and in turn finds himself inspired by them. 6:15 p.m.
