RED ELVISES AT SKIPPER'S: Three Russians from Siberia got together to unleash Siberian Surf Rock. The Red Elvises have helped Americans to keep the spirit of Elvis alive with a special blend of Russian ethnic music, surf rock, tango and vintage high-energy rockabilly. The band has released nine CDs and crafted its show on the Santa Monica Pier.

The Red Elvises have helped Americans to keep the spirit of Elvis alive with a special blend of Russian ethnic music, surf rock, tango and vintage high-energy rockabilly. The band has released nine CDs and crafted its show on the Santa Monica Pier.

Also playing the same night is The Gita. The band started in 1988 after many coffeehouse gigs where they incorporated many theatrical ideas. The Giga is a mostly original band with upbeat jazz and funk.

The show is at 8 tonight at Skipper's Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road near Nebraska Avenue. Tickets are $15 at Skipper's. For information, call (813) 971-0666.

TOM RYAN AT SIDE SPLITTERS COMEDY CLUB: Tom Ryan has appeared on Showtime, Comedy Central and A&E. His style has contributed to witty monologues written for the show Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher.

Ryan will perform at 8 and 10 tonight, Saturday and Sunday at Side Splitters Comedy Club, 12938 N Dale Mabry Highway. Tickets are $12 and $14. For information, call (813) 960-1197.
