The following special observance days have been approved by the school district for the 2001-02 school year. The district policy states that, on these days, teachers and staff members will not schedule tests, exams or major activities that account for 25 percent or more of a student's grade for a grading period. The policy also notes that students will have the opportunity to make up the work without being charged special fees. No district-coordinated activities should be scheduled on days or evenings designated as special observance days.
