Alice Lipscomb's letter

I love Clearwater! It has been my home since 1963. The beautiful white sand beach (my first love) is where I practically raised my four children. Now my husband and I enjoy the awesome sunsets and the calm feeling we experience there. We don't need another Miami look-alike. The beach should remain as natural as possible for the residents, as well as our many welcome tourists. We've seen many changes, some good for the city and some disastrous. Personally, I'd like to have the area return to the conditions of my early days here, but I know realistically that's not practical or possible. But through the many good people and our friendly church, we still see the beauty of our city. I love Clearwater! It has been my home since 1963.
