© St. Petersburg Times, ART LEAGUE DISPLAY: A reception for painters James Langston and Anna Sandoval will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Citrus County Art League, 2644 N Annapolis Ave., Citrus Hills. The artists will be exhibiting a preview of their upcoming display at the Florence Biennale art festival in Italy in December. Admission is free. The exhibit will be shown all month. WINE TASTING: The Citrus County Historical Society hosts a wine tasting from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Old Courthouse Heritage Museum. CURTAIN CALLSAUDITIONS: Gulf Islands Civic Theatre will have auditions at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at Cash Carpet store, 776 N Enterprise Point, Lecanto, on State Road 44 next to Stokes Flea Market. The play is Blood Ties, a comedy, directed by Joyce Reynolds-Funtig. Show opens on Oct. 19 at the Citrus County Auditorium. Call Jeri Augustine, 795-3077. AUDITIONS: Susan Robinson, music director and conductor of the Central Florida Master Choir, has openings in all voice parts for the choir's upcoming year. Auditions will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 28 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church on State Road 200, Ocala. Prospective members must be able to read music. AUDITIONS: The Hernando County Fine Arts Council will hold auditions for Gilbert and Sullivan's operetta The Mikado at 7 p.m. Aug 24 and at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Springstead High School theater on Mariner Boulevard in Spring Hill. Performances are the last two weekends in January 2002. LOOK AHEADBEVERLY HILLS CHORUS: The Chorus of Beverly Hills begins rehearsals for its 11th season at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 4 at the Beverly Hills Recreation Center.
