Big Lots store to open in Pasco Plaza in Land O'Lakes

LAND O'LAKES -- Big Lots has announced plans to move into a shopping center at one of Land O'Lakes' busiest intersections.
The discount retailer will take over 41,000 square feet vacated last year by a U-Save supermarket in Pasco Plaza at State Road 54 and U.S. 41. The nearest Big Lots to central Pasco now is the outlet in north Tampa at U.S. 41 and Bearss Avenue.
The Land O'Lakes store should open by the end of October and employ 20 to 40, Big Lots officials said. The grand opening date is Oct. 31, said Dee Swigart with the corporate real estate office in Columbus, Ohio. Big Lots, which specializes in deeply discounted clothing, household goods, food and toys, has 1,256 stores in 46 states.
