Video Game reviewsBy ROBB GUIDO
© St. Petersburg Times, Dragon Warrior IIISYSTEM: Game Boy Color PRICE: $29.99 MAKER: Enix Dragon Warrior III is an excellent role-playing adventure game for Game Boy Color. The battles are simple, but the story and graphics carry this one. Grade: A- ExterminationSYSTEM: PlayStation 2 PRICE: $49.99 MAKER: Sony Extermination sets the mood well, dropping Marines in the middle of Antarctica. But once players get going, they won't find much excitement. Besides, haven't we all fought enough mutated beasts? Grade: C NFL Game Day 2002SYSTEM: PlayStation PRICE: $39.99 MAKER: 989 Sports The graphics are dated, but this one still plays pretty well. Players who must have a new football game for their PlayStations won't be let down. Grade: B MX 2002 Featuring Ricky CarmichaelSYSTEM: PlayStation 2 PRICE: $49.99 MAKER: THQ Ricky Carmichael finds his form again in this motocross game for PS2. It has all the elements to make for a good racing game: speed, good control and well-designed tracks. Grade: B Pac-Man CollectionSYSTEM: Game Boy Advance PRICE: $39.99 MAKER: Namco It's hard to go wrong with Pac-Man, and the yellow pellet-eater fits especially well on Game Boy Advance. Three Pac-Man spin-offs, to go with the original, make this a good buy. Grade: B+ Floigan Bros.SYSTEM: Dreamcast PRICE: $19.99 MAKER: Sega Floigan Bros. is an interesting game in which players teach a big, not-so-smart brother new tricks to get through levels. In addition to making players think a bit, the dialog and situations are pretty zany. Grade: B+ - Robb Guido is an avid gamer who lives in Tampa.
