All-You-Can-Eat-Party at Italian Social Club

HERNANDO -- The Italian Social Club of Citrus County is celebrating Labor Day with an All-You-Can-Eat Party from 1 to 6 p.m. Sept. 2 at the clubhouse, 1305 E Norvell Bryant Highway. The menu will include chicken, sausage and peppers, hot dogs, hamburgers, beans, salad, beer and soda. Roger Carrier and his karaoke machine will provide the music. Knights of Columbus Council 6168 plans picnic

BEVERLY HILLS -- Knights of Columbus Council 6168 will have a Labor Day picnic at 1 p.m. Sept. 3, on the Council Grounds, corner of County Road 486 and Pine Cone Avenue.

The menu includes Italian sausage, onions and peppers, hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, cole slaw, corn on the cob, watermelon, cake and soda. Stronger drinks are BYOB. Guests are asked to bring their own chairs (and a table if they wish). The public is invited.

Democrats schedule Salute to Labor picnic

HOMOSASSA -- The third annual Salute to Labor picnic sponsored by the Citrus County Democratic Executive Committee, local unions and the county Democratic clubs is scheduled to begin about noon Sept. 1, at VFW Post 8189, 8856 W Veterans Drive.

The picnic is free and includes great food and entertainment. Joe Cino, DEC chair, urges all Democrats, union members and their families to join in this Labor Day weekend celebration. Call Cino at 628-7191.

Call American Irish Club for picnic information

LECANTO -- The American Irish Club of West Citrus County will have its annual Labor Day picnic and Cultural Center acquisition celebration at 3 p.m. Sept. 3 on clubhouse grounds, 4342 Homosassa Trail, County Road 490. VFW Penno Post to have open house, sale, picnic

CITRUS SPRINGS -- VFW Edward W. Penno Post 4864 will have an open house from 12 to 9 p.m. Sept. 1, from 1 to 9 p.m. Sept. 2 and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 3, 10199 N Citrus Springs Blvd. The post will have a Labor Day picnic and a White Elephant Sale starting at 11 a.m. Sept. 3 with hamburgers, sausage, cole slaw and potato salad. The public is always welcome to come for a good time.

St. Margaret Episcopal plans potluck barbecue

INVERNESS -- St. Margaret Episcopal Church will have a parish picnic with a barbecue prepared by the men's group at noon Sept. 3 at the church, 114 N Osceola Ave. Just bring a side dish, bring your friends and enjoy.
