Where are they now?

Editor's note: This a new addition to Top of the Class to recognize success stories from Citrus County schools. I welcome submissions from parents, former teachers or administrators. Send me a current photo of the former student, his/her age, former school, current job and location, adding any tidbit of interest, i.e, marital status, children, special awards, etc. Please include your telephone number, in case I have a question, and I will take it from there.

Matt Mitchell is a 1996 graduate of Citrus High School. He is now 22 and is a graduate of Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Va., where he studied health and physical education.

He teaches health and physical education at Webb High School in Oxford, N.C., and is the head coach for girl's basketball coach and girl's softball.

He was married in June. He met his wife, Cathy, at Cumberland College. She is a graduate assistant at North Carolina State University and is working on her master's degree in biomedical statistics.

Matt has a younger brother, Marc (known as Cuda), and is the son of Al and Lynn Mitchell of Citrus Hills.
