ST. PETERSBURG -- Tom Batson singled in Anderson Machado in the 11th inning Wednesday night and the Clearwater Phillies beat the Rays 4-3.
Cary Hiles pitched the final three innings, allowing one hit and no runs for the win.
Run-scoring singles by St. Petersburg's Matt Diaz and Brandon Backe tied the score at 3 in the sixth.
TAMPA 8, JUPITER 6: The host Yankees scored six in the fifth. Shortstop Teuris Olivares tripled and had four RBI.
DUNEDIN 9, VERO BEACH 5: The host Blue Jays scored seven in the first two innings. Reed Johnson went 2-for-4 with two RBI and Josh Phelps went 3-for-5 with three RBI, including a two-run homer.
