WILL WORK FOR NATIONAL EXPOSURE: Robert Downey Jr.'s first job since his April drug arrest is as the lone performer in Elton John's new video.

Premiering Thursday on MTV and VH1, I Want Love shows Downey walking through an empty mansion as he lip-syncs lyrics like: I want love but it's impossible/A man like me's so irresponsible. A man like me is dead in places.

The lyricist in touch with Downey's inner self is John cohort Bernie Taupin.

John says he picked Downey because "He's an incredible actor, and lyrically the song would be perfect for him to interpret. I'm very fond of him."

Of his own substance abuse problems, John said that if he hadn't reformed, "I'd be dead by now. Or a fruitcake like Michael Jackson or Prince."

He was laughing when he said it. Reportedly.

CAN YOU GET AN AAA ADMISSION DISCOUNT? Think of it: The Sally floor. The Dinah floor. The Dom DeLuise floor. The Lonnie garbage can.

The possibilities are endless when the Burt Reynolds Museum reopens in an old bank building in Jupiter.

The town council is close to a deal that would give the museum a temporary home until it finds a permanent one. Museum president Mike Daniel hopes to be in business by November.

The museum was at Reynolds' ranch in Jupiter Farms, west of Jupiter, until the actor lost the property in a 1996 bankruptcy filing.

The museum memorabilia -- posters, props, autographs, gifts Reynolds has received from other celebrities and actors -- have been in storage since.

I TREAT MY BODY LIKE A TEMPLE; YOU TREAT YOURS LIKE A TENT: Some Christian scholars are promoting the idea that if Jesus were alive today, he'd be a vegetarian.

They're citing a range of Bible passages, from a Genesis account of the diet of Eden to the apostle Paul's admonition to treat the body as a temple. They've even reworked the widespread WWJD to WWJE: What Would Jesus Eat?

"Jesus taught a ministry of love and compassion," said Stephen H. Webb, author of Good Eating: The Bible, Food and the Proper Love of Animals, scheduled for October release. "It was love and compassion for all of God's creation."
