TAMPA -- Taubman Centers Inc. on Thursday disclosed 12 more tenants for International Plaza, the new shopping mall that opens Sept. 14.

That means the Bloomfield Hills, Mich., developer has signed up 162 stores and restaurants for the mall, 93 of which will be new to the Tampa Bay market.

Located on Boy Scout Boulevard at West Shore Boulevard, International Plaza will have 25 retailers making their debut in Florida.

The tally does not include 15 pushcart retail kiosks that are renting space inside the enclosed mall and along Bay Street, the outdoor restaurant/shopping village that is part of the project.

"We're 80 percent leased, but we'll have 70 percent of the stores ready for the grand opening," said Taubman spokeswoman Karen MacDonald.

Heading the latest update of the tenant list are Blue Martini, a West Palm Beach martini bar and restaurant; Arden B., a "fashion-forward" women's apparel shop; Brighton Collectibles; St. John Knits; and Sanrio, the producer of the Hello Kitty line of stationery and school supplies.

Other new tenants are Rand McNally, which operates travel and map stores; Nicholson House, a local crafts gallery with an outlet in Old Hyde Park Village; King Jewelers; and Unisa, a shoe and handbag store that sells its own line of sandals.

New restaurants are Gallery Eclectic Bistro, a 250-seat restaurant specializing in New American cuisine; Tango Grill Parillada Argentina, a quick-serve spot with Argentine-inspired dishes; and Charley's Steakery, a food court tenant with a menu ranging from subs to steaks.

"We have someone lined up for the last restaurant space, but the lease is not signed," MacDonald said.

The mall will be anchored by Dillard's, Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.
