    Job fair scheduled from 1-4 p.m. Sept. 20

    Abilities Workforce Services and Suncoast Human Resources Association will be joint hosts for a job fair from 1 until 4 p.m. Sept. 20. The event, which will place special emphasis on employment opportunities for people with disabilities, will be at the Holiday Inn Select, 3535 Ulmerton Road. Admission is free.     Coalition for health, aging plans conference

    "Facing the Future," the fourth annual conference hosted by the Florida Coalition for Optimal Mental Health and Aging, will be Oct. 25-26 at the Travelodge Hotel, 820 E Busch Blvd., Tampa. The event will focus on care and intervention plans regarding aging, mental health and substance abuse issues. The conference is targeted toward nurses, senior caregivers, therapists and mental health counselors, nursing home administrators, social workers and others in the field but also is open to anyone interested in quality elder care. Continuing education credits and certificates of attendance will be offered. The coalition is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the mental health and substance abuse services for Florida seniors. The fee is $40 for Florida Coalition members and $80 for non-members if received by the early registration deadline of Sept. 26. After that, the fee increases to $60 for members and $100 for non-members.
