    LABOR DAY KICK-OFF: A free Key West-style Labor Day Kick-Off party featuring the Jimmy Buffet tribute band Son of a Sailor and reggae group Spy vs. Spy will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Cleveland Street between East Avenue and Fort Harrison Boulevard. Prizes, Jimmy Buffet look-alike contest.

    SUNSETS AT PIER 60: Celebrate the end of the day with a festival of arts, crafts and entertainment from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Pier 60 Pavilion, Clearwater Beach. Free.

    Friday

    CONCERT: A concert to raise funds to complete the local movie Starving will be at 7 p.m. at Royalty Theatre, downtown Clearwater. The event will feature five local bands. $10. (727) 518-8418.
