ADMISSION: Most schools charge $3 to $5 for each game.
TV: Time Warner Channel 47 will air games on a tape-delayed process at 10:30 p.m. every Friday night in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties with encore presentations at 9 p.m. on the following Saturday, Sunday and Wednesdays. Here is the schedule for the first nine weeks of the season. Time Warner will choose the best game available for the remaining week and playoffs.

Sept. 7: Berkeley Prep at Shorecrest
Sept. 14: Chamberlain at Gaither
Sept. 21: Jefferson at Plant
Sept. 28: Seminole at Gibbs
Oct. 5: Viewer's poll
Oct. 12: St. Petersburg Catholic at Clearwater Central Catholic
Oct. 19: Lakewood at Countryside
CLASSIFICATIONS Teams are divided by enrollment into six classes of roughly an equal number of schools, ranging from Class 6A (the largest) to Class A (the smallest).
STATE PLAYOFFS: District champions and runners-up advance from the 12 districts in each classification. Eight at-large teams also will make the playoffs in each class, based on record and schedule strength. The playoffs begin Nov.9. The state championship games are scheduled for Dec.6-8 at Florida State in Tallahassee.
