NEW PORT RICHEY -- Area law enforcement officers will scour the county for drunken drivers this weekend during a Wolf Pack operation.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office, along with the Florida Highway Patrol, Port Richey, New Port Richey, Dade City and Zephyrhills police departments, will roam the roads of Pasco.

The effort starts tonight and ends about 4 a.m. Saturday, said Pasco County Sheriff's Office officials. Officers will look for drunken or drug-impaired drivers.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Marine Unit also will patrol the coastal areas.

Last year, a similar operation resulted in 19 DUI arrests, 162 traffic citations and 78 written warnings, said officials.
