DADE CITY -- After shooting the floor five or six times, a Dade City man reloaded his gun and then shot another man in the leg during an argument Saturday morning, witnesses told Pasco County sheriff's deputies.

Quinson Deshawn Croson, 21, of 13238 Johnson St. and Ricky Bryant, 40, address unavailable, got into an argument at around 3 a.m. Saturday at a Hormuth Street home, an arrest report said. Bryant told deputies that Croson had pulled out a handgun and begun shooting at the ground.

After putting five or six holes in the ground, Croson reloaded and shot Bryant in the left leg, witnesses told deputies.

Deputies said Croson then left in a car. He was arrested at his house by deputies at around 5:30 a.m. and denied shooting anyone. However, deputies said two witnesses identified Croson as the man who had shot Bryant.

Croson was charged with attempted first-degree murder and was being held on $100,000 bail.

A report on the incident was unavailable Sunday morning, as was Bryant's condition.
