Galleries in downtown St. Petersburg open their doors to the public Saturday for a monthly self-guided gallery walk. Hours at most galleries are 5:30-9 p.m. The event is free; many galleries will be serving refreshments. Special shows are noted; all participants are listed.

The walk is sponsored by the Downtown Arts Association, a group of not-for-profit and for-profit galleries and other arts-related businesses committed to promoting the area as a vital center for the cultural arts, and to increasing community awareness of the arts, through special events and art education.
