Dunedin 34, Osceola 29

Dunedin doubled its win total from last year by defeating Osceola, running its record to 2-0 after going 1-9 last year. It led 27-7 at halftime behind the play of Eric Triplett, who threw a 67-yard touchdown pass to Mazi Sadiki and also ran for a 37-yard touchdown. Osceola made it close in the second half but the Dunedin defense held.

PLAY OF THE GAME: The first play from scrimmage of the second half saw Dunedin's Jabbar Graham run 66 yards and fumble the ball into the end zone and out of bounds. Osceola gained possession as it was called a touchback.

PLAYERS OF THE GAME: Osceola's Jason Teague rushed for 128 yards and had four receptions for 75 yards and three touchdowns. Teague showed remarkable athleticism, stealing a possible interception away from a Dunedin defender, keeping his balance, and shedding two tackles for a 37-yard touchdown.

KEY STATISTIC: Dunedin only completed three passes, all in the first half, for 105 yards and two touchdowns. One was from Triplett, last year's starting quarterback and this years tailback, good for a 67-yard touchdown. Dunedin also averaged 11.3 yards per rush.
