New Tampa

Ice cream, donuts and more:

A combination Baskin Robbins, Dunkin Donuts and Togo's has opened in the Walk at Highwoods Preserve Parkway, off Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. Hours are from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Togo's serves hot and cold sandwiches, soups and salads. For information, call (813) 971-7547.

Hair salon coming in October:

The Salon at the Walk is opening Oct. 15 in the Walk at 18059 Highwoods Preserve Parkway, Suite B-100, just off Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. Stylists are coming from Tampa's Impressions salon. The salon specializes in hair highlighting, straightening, cuts and styles. For information, call (813) 907-7257.

Linens and things to open:

Linens and Things opens Friday at the Walk at 18071 Highwoods Preserve, off Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. Hours are 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. It has 350 stores nationwide and offers a variety of linens and houseware products. For information, call (813) 910-0531.

Pizza shop closes:

Lenny and Vinny's pizza, 16065 Tampa Palms Blvd., closed recently in the City Plaza.

University/North Tampa

Sushi restaurant opens:

Bonsai Sushi has opened in the Palm Connection shopping center on Bearss Avenue just west of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. Hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information, call (813) 977-2755.

Tax collector moves:

Hillsborough County Tax Collector Doug Belden has opened a branch office in the former Floriland Mall building, 9309 N Florida Ave., Suite 111. This office replaces the older branch across the street, which closed recently.

Carrollwood

Self-storage facility open:

Metro Self Storage, 4216 W Gunn Highway, opened several months ago and is celebrating its grand opening. It offers 24-hour access, individual door alarms and climate control. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For information, call (813) 908-5344.

Northdale

Sandwich shop, clothing store to open:

Crispers, a coffee and sandwich shop, is opening soon in the Colonial Promenade plaza on N Dale Mabry Highway, next to Famous Footwear. A discount clothing store, Dots, will open next door to Crispers.
