WHO'S NEWS: ERA Suncoast Realty has announced that Realtor Deanna Rodrick is the newest multimillion-dollar producer for 2001. Rodrick joined the Suncoast office in February 2000. Steve Latiff is the top listing and top selling associate for July 2001. He has been the top lister and seller at ERA Suncoast since 1997.

ERA American Realty and Investments has recognized Angela Popp as the top listing and top selling associate in the Inverness office for June.

Andy Mehlenbacher, store manager for the Crystal River location of Citrus Paint and Wallcovering Inc. (Porter Paints), recently attended a Skillpath Seminar on Managing Multiple Projects, Objectives and Deadlines in Tampa. Mehlenbacher received six continuing education units for the seminar, which is a division of the Graceland College Center for Professional Development and Lifelong Learning Inc.

J. Michael Todd, the Homosassa investment representative for the financial services firm Edward Jones, was one of 50 representatives honored for his business-management skills at a business management forum in New York in August. While there, Todd met with other Edward Jones investment reps to share ideas for increasing office efficiency, improving customer service, increasing investment knowledge, and expanding his knowledge in the area of estate planning.

Homosassa Riverside Resort has announced that Carol Lee Wallis recently returned from the Chuck Cook Meeting Planner Conference in Tallahassee. Wallis educated the Tallahassee sector about the resort and other educational and heritage opportunities in Citrus County.

Dr. James J. Ronzo has recently joined Dr. Jeremiah A. Hubbard and Dr. William J. Stalcup II of West Coast Orthopaedics, P.A. in Crystal River and Inverness. Ronzo, a graduate of Crystal River High School, is also a graduate of NOVA Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale and has completed a Spine Fellowship at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa. The doctor specializes in problems relating to the back and will be accepting new patients in both offices.

Central Florida Community College-Lecanto Campus in conjunction with SCORE is offering a two-day seminar titled "How to Really Start Your Own Business" plus "Computer Applications." Part I (How to) will be presented from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 22, cost is $50. Part II (Computer) will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 29, cost $20 (completion of Part I required). The 2001 Industry Appreciation Week Luncheon sponsored by Florida Power and hosted by Citrus County Economic Development Council Inc., Citrus County Chamber of Commerce and Homosassa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce will be at noon Sept. 21. Guest speaker for the event is Brett Wattles, EDC interim executive director. Cost is $15 per person and seating is limited. Reservations required by Friday to EDC at 795-2000. EDC Industry Appreciation Barbecue will be Oct. 18.

The Citrus County SCORE Chapter 646 offers free, confidential counseling services to new and existing businesses in the county. The counseling covers a range of business-related topics. For an appointment, call 621-0775.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central Florida meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Cypress Room in the administration building of Citrus Memorial Hospital.
