Woman sought in 3rd bank robberyBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published September 12, 2000 TAMPA -- A woman already suspected of two bank robberies may have committed her third Monday afternoon. Tampa police said a woman in her mid-30s wearing a shoulder-length black wig walked into the Southern Exchange Bank at 1921 S Dale Mabry Highway just before 4 p.m. Monday, approached a teller and said, "This is a stickup." The woman did not show a weapon, but the teller complied, putting a small amount of cash into a plastic bag the woman handed her. The suspect left on foot; no vehicle was seen. The woman is described as 5 feet 5, 130 pounds. She is white and wore a black T-shirt, jeans and white running shoes. That description is similar to one given for a woman who robbed a Wachovia Bank on N Dale Mabry and a Regions Bank on W Waters Avenue. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
