STUDIOUS: R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck has been writing new material and hopes to get into the studio "sooner rather than later" to work on the group's 13th album.
ZEALOUS: Showtime is cutting back on the number of original movies it makes so it can make more original series, and more expensive movies and miniseries.
SERIOUS: "I will use all of it to bet on horses." So says Sin Kan-tong, a 34-year-old Hong Kong postal worker, when asked what he would do if he won big money on the Chinese-language version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
