Settlement transforms into Civil War battleground

The Pinellas Pioneer Settlement will become an 1863 town Saturday and Sunday with period vendors and re-enactors during the annual Tampa Bay Raid. Daily events include a 12:30 p.m. fashion show and a 2 p.m. Civil War battle re-enactment. There also will be a demonstration of 19th-century medical supplies and techniques 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday. Food and other entertainment available. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. The entrance to the settlement is at 2900 31st St. S, St. Petersburg. Admission: $5 adult, $3 for ages 11-16. (727) 866-6401.
