DADE CITY -- East Pasco ministers are preparing for a unity service that they hope will link together people in prayer for a single cause.

The Rev. Wes White of Dade City's Calvary Assembly of God said a discussion Wednesday among the members of the East Pasco Ministerial Association grew into a plan for a non-denominational unity service at 6 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Dan Cannon Auditorium at the Pasco County fairgrounds in memory of this week's terrorism victims.

"We want to fill the entire auditorium," White said of the 11,700-square-foot facility. "We want to cross not just denominational lines, but ethnic lines as well. We want to reach out to all people, and have everyone come out and join us."

White said organizers are taking pains to exclude no one, and people of all faiths would be welcome and encouraged to attend.

"It's in keeping with the spirit of unity that is sweeping across our country," White said. "The local pastors have been getting together to call the community together. It's about prayer and healing and hope."
