Selected events canceled or postponed because of Tuesday's terrorist attacks:

AUTO RACING: NASCAR postponed the New Hampshire 300 and the Craftsman Trucks Silverado 350 in Fort Worth, Texas, scheduled for Sunday. NASCAR also canceled the Featherlite Modified Tour and Busch North series races in Loudon, N.H., and the Raybestos Brakes Northwest series in Idaho scheduled for today. The IRL Chevy 500 in Fort Worth, Texas, scheduled for Sunday was postponed. NHRA postponed the Keystone Nationals in Reading, Pa., until Oct. 4-7.

BASEBALL: Major League Baseball postponed all games (91) Tuesday through Sunday and Yankees at Rays on Monday. The International, Pacific Coast, Eastern, Southern, California, Midwest, Florida State and New York-Penn leagues canceled the remainder of their championship series. Other leagues still in playoffs postponed games through Thursday.

NFL: Called off Week 2 games, 14 scheduled for Sunday and one on Monday night.

NHL: Canceled 22 of 23 preseason games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

BOXING: The undisputed middleweight title fight between Felix Trinidad and Bernard Hopkins, scheduled for tonight at Madison Square Garden in New York, was postponed.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: All Division I-A games scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday were postponed. Four games were canceled: Navy at Northwestern, Marshall at TCU, Bowling Green at South Carolina and Appalachian State at Troy State. All but three Division I-AA games today were canceled or postponed.

OTHER COLLEGE SPORTS: ACC postponed all events through today, the Big East all events through Sunday, the Big 12 all events through Sunday, the Big West any events involving air travel through today, Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association all events through Sunday, MAAC all events through Sunday, Mid-American all events through today, Pac-10 all events through Sunday and SEC all events through Sunday.

GOLF: All four PGA Tour-sanctioned events, the American Express Championship, Tampa Bay Classic, Vantage Championship and Oregon Classic, were canceled. The LPGA canceled the Safeway Classic at Portland, Ore.

HORSE RACING: The Thoroughbred Racing Association canceled all its cards Tuesday, and Wednesday's racing was called off at Arlington Park, Pimlico Race Course and Turfway Park. Finger Lakes and Yonkers Raceway were canceled Friday, Belmont Park cards were canceled through Sunday and Meadowlands cards through Monday.

SOCCER: Major League Soccer canceled the final 10 games of the regular season scheduled for Wednesday, today and Sunday. A-League playoff games scheduled for this week were postponed. In Europe, 40 UEFA Cup games scheduled for Thursday were postponed.

TENNIS: The BNP Paribas Masters of the Champion's Tour, the season-ending championship, scheduled for Sept. 18-23 in New York, was postponed. Six Intercollegiate Tennis Association-sanctioned tournaments scheduled for Sept. 14-16 were postponed. The host schools were: N.C. State, Cornell, Arkansas, Rice, South Florida and Penn State.

INTERNATIONAL EVENTS: The ICF Slalom World Championships, scheduled for Sept. 20-23 on the Ocoee (Tenn.) River, was canceled. U.S. Speedskating canceled plans to send the short-track team to China and Japan. The Junior Grand Prix figure skating event scheduled for Sept. 19-23 in Scottsdale, Ariz., was postponed. The Indian government indefinitely postponed the inaugural Afro-Asian Games scheduled for Nov. 3-11 in New Dehli.
