One hurt, one jailed in boating accident

INDIAN SHORES -- One man was injured and another taken to jail Saturday after a boating accident. Ryan Pavlik, 26, of Indian Rocks Beach, and Alvi S. Keresztesi, 28, of St. Petersburg, were traveling north at a high speed on the Intracoastal Waterway near Indian Shores when the 15-foot motorboat ran aground, Sheriff's spokeswoman Marianne Pasha said.
Pavlik was thrown from the boat and was treated at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Keresztesi was accused of "obstruction" and taken to Pinellas County Jail, Pasha said.
